Portsea, Acre

A full landscape build on a steep coastal site in Portsea, designed by Acre. The scope covered the full property from the entry driveway at street level, through the garden and pool zone, down the slope to the lower garden boundary.

The build included an exposed aggregate driveway curved to follow the natural fall of the land, with matching exposed aggregate steps running alongside it. Rendered concrete blade walls, bluestone steps tracking the fall through the garden, travertine piano key stepper paths, a pavilion finish concrete pool deck and bench seat, custom fabricated steel pool fence, frameless glass pool fencing, Hillview boulder retaining and full coastal planting.

The pool deck sits well above the surrounding gardens, with the coastal canopy beyond the site boundary acting as borrowed landscape. Three materials meet at the pool edge, travertine coping, formed concrete channel and pavilion finish deck, each one coordinated in the drawings and held during the build.
