Blairgowrie, Julie Crowe Landscape Design

A coastal build in Blairgowrie designed by Julie Crowe Landscape Design, recognised with Gold and Silver at the 2024 Landscaping Victoria Awards. The site presented real technical challenges, and the design called for a level of detailing that required careful planning and sequencing before a single element went in.

The scope included curved steel retaining walls, sandblasted concrete, natural stonework and layered planting that softens the architectural lines throughout. The curves required precise formwork and fabrication to hold the geometry the design called for. Getting that right on a coastal site, in the conditions the Peninsula throws at you, is where the work actually happens.
