Flinders, Acre

A multi-level garden build in Flinders designed by Acre, working across a 1.6 metre site fall. The level change drove the structure of the whole build, with large-format concrete steps, multi-level decking and pool surrounds all sequenced to resolve cleanly across the fall.

Getting the setout right on a site like this determines everything that follows. Steps, edges and plane changes all have to be resolved before they go in. The finished result navigates the fall without feeling engineered, which is what good planning makes possible.
